英文得獎小說推薦 |Celeste Ng《Everything I Never Told You》Inspirational Quotes“You loved so hard and hope

伍綺詩(Celeste Ng),美國作家和小說家。在各種文學期刊上發表過很多短篇小說。2014年發表了第一本長篇小說《無聲告白》贏得了許多獎項,包括亞馬遜年度書籍。短篇小說《Girls at Play》贏得了2012年Pushcart Prize。

一度在密西根大學教授文學,也曾任教於波士頓的格拉勃街公司。擔任過三年小說作家評論博客網站的編輯。伍綺詩的小說發表在《One Story》, 《TriQuarterly》, 《Subtropics》和其他雜誌。散文發表在Kenyon Review Online, The Millions和別處。

伍綺詩和丈夫、兒子生活在麻薩諸塞州劍橋。在巡迴簽售圖書《無聲告白》時,伍綺詩表示自己小時候最喜愛的書是《小偵探哈里特》(Harriet the Spy)。當下最喜愛的書是阿蘭達蒂·羅伊的《微物之神》(The Good of Small Things)。

長篇小說《無聲告白》是背景落在1970年代的驚悚小說。她用了六年時間、歷經四個不同的草稿完成這部小說。寫作的過程中,她把她自己、家人和朋友遭受到的種族歧視記錄下來。]該書被《洛杉磯時報》描述為「關於家庭、愛情和抱負最優秀的小說」,贏得2014年亞馬遜年度書籍,被翻譯成15種語言。

2017年第二本長篇小說(Little Fires Everywhere)《中文書名:星星之火》發表,故事圍繞謝克海茨鎮上兩個家庭,其中一個家庭將對當地傳統構成衝擊…. 購買她中文版的書籍

Celeste Ng attended Harvard University and earned an MFA from the University of Michigan. Her debut novel, Everything I Never Told You won the Hopwood Award, the Massachusetts Book Award, the Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature.
