【台中市西區 | Taichung 】咖啡店 | KOPHY mini | 冰滴咖啡

台中市西區KOPHY mini 並無中文名稱, 它其實是鼎鼎大名的KOPHY分店, 經營方式完全不同, 這家店並無坐的地方, 也無輕食, 但是他有販售各種外帶咖啡和糕點, 最重要的是它有一個白色系文青的裝潢, 整體就是個Instagram-Friendly 的咖啡店.

KOPHY mini is 2nd store of KOPHY, which is very famous among locals and tourists. But this 2nd store is unique because there isn’t any seat to enjoy the afternoon tea/coffee.  KOPHY mini only offers to-go coffee and various pastries.

外帶咖啡菜單上有法芙娜咖啡, 薑汁咖啡, 肉桂糖咖啡和我最愛的冰滴咖啡, 至於大家認定最好吃的糕點則是mini熔岩雞蛋糕(6個/$50), 使用的是法國依思尼奶油和日本進口麵粉, 兩種原料也被擺在櫥窗裝飾的一部份, 但是當天中午我已經吃太飽  無法在吃黑糖味且扎實的雞蛋糕  (喔 ,對了 ,熔岩雞蛋糕並無內餡會流出, 它不是巧克力熔岩蛋糕).

To-Go Coffee menu includes Valrhona Coffee, Ginger Coffee, Signature Cinnamon Coffee, and of course my favorite Cold Brew Coffee. The most famous pastry in KOPHY mini would be “Lava Egg Pancake”.  The price  (6pcs/$50) is attractive because it was made by  ISIGNY STE MÈRE Butter and Japanese Flour. But sadly, I was full and couldn’t eat food anymore!!

通常最正規的方式是將冰塊放在最上方的容器裡, 經過長時間的等冰融化, 冰水再跟磨成粉的咖啡豆結合, 不僅是咖啡豆 ,機器, 或是過程都需要長久時間準備,  間接影響成本 ,價格普遍較高, 所以不要再誤會冰滴咖啡只是熱咖啡煮好放在冰箱喔, 此外,天龍國一杯跟KOPHY mini 一樣Size大約$130左右.

The “standard” process is to put the ice at the top container of the machine. Waiting for the ice to melt and let the ice water mix with the coffee powder to become “Cold Brew Coffee”. It usually takes an extended period of time, therefore, the price would be higher than regular coffee.

跟其他冰滴咖啡比較, KOPHY mini 的冰滴咖啡因較重, 店員有提到冰滴咖啡其實已經事先煮好 , 希望這杯不是昨天早上做的, 因為我有喝到冰滴咖啡不該有的苦味, 也有可能他們是使用中度烘培咖啡豆而不是深度烘培咖啡豆吧?!? 如果我還有機會光臨此店, 我應該會點他們的焦糖甜咖啡吧.

KOPHY mini’s cold brew coffee is quite caffeine-strong as expected. The staff mentioned that since the process would take hours to complete. They already pre-made the coffee. I truly hope that it wasn’t yesterday morning. Because I detect a hint of bitterness. Hmm… it could be they might use Medium Roast instead of  French Roast?!?  If I have the chance to visit here again, i might try their highly-recommend cinnamon coffee.
