■strong強壯的

  →He is strong enough to lift that rock . 

  →The sailor had strong arms.

    sailor  [ˋselɚ]N-船員、水手／arms [ɑrmz]

  →She is not strong.她身體不強壯

■stout矮胖的，肥胖的  [staʊt]

  →S She was about sixty and quite stout . 

■pudgy 矮胖的 [ˋpʌdʒɪ]

  →John has a pale, pudgy face

■sturdy結實的[ˋstɝdɪ]

→The sturdy young man

■meaty肉肉的ˋmitɪ]

■fat胖的

→If you eat too much, you will get fat.

■plump胖嘟嘟的 [plʌmp]

→Anna has grown plump. 安娜變胖了

→The baby is plump and very cute.

■sanguine氣色紅潤的  [ˋsæŋgwɪn]

■thin瘦的 [θɪn]

   →He is thinner than his brother.

■skinny瘦巴巴的 [ˋskɪnɪ]

  →She is tall and skinny . 

■delicate 纖弱的，嬌弱的 [ˋdɛləkət]

  →He is in delicate health .   他身體虛弱。

■frail虛弱的[frel]

  →His health is very frail . 

  →She was so frail and emaciated.

    emaciated憔悴的 [ɪˋmeʃɪ͵etɪd]

■weak虛弱的、軟弱的  [wik]

  →He is still weak after her long illness .

  →The old man was too weak to stand up.

→She is weak in the legs.她的腿力很差

→in a weak voice.

■feeble虛弱的(生病、年老等無力) [fib!]

→She is feeble from sickness .   她因為生病而變得虛弱。

■pale臉色蒼白 [pel]

  →He was pale with fear . 

  →You look pale.

→He has a pale face.他臉色蒼白

■slim 苗條的[slɪm]

  →Fat girls envy slim girls.

    envy  [ˋɛnvɪ] 妒忌

■slender 修長的，苗條的；纖細的[ˋslɛndɚ]

→She ‘ s got a beautiful slender figure . 

figure N-外型，體形 [ˋfɪgjɚ]

■exhausted 精疲力盡的 [ɪgˋzɔstɪd]

  →The game exhausted me.

→I am tired,but not exhausted.

→We sat down at the table,too exhausted to eat .

→He was exhausted after swimming for thirty minutes.

■emaciated憔悴的 [ɪˋmeʃɪ͵etɪd]

  emaciated： emaciate的動詞過去式、過去分詞

emaciate[ɪˋmeʃɪ͵et] V-使消瘦，使憔悴

→He was emaciated by long illness .   他由於長期生病而瘦弱

■haggard (因缺乏睡眠或是年老) 憔悴的  [ˋhægɚd]

  → As she got older she got haggard .
