策展人：王麟

此次項目中，藝術家以自身的生活經驗作為創作的起始，不再將藝術家作為獨立個體抽離出來，而是以融入式的創作方案進行實踐，希望能夠切實的給身邊的生活帶來一點點的改變。

2017年6月到8月，

我陸陸續續走訪了

北京一些面臨被強拆或是被拆牆打洞的地方，

想和這些即將面臨是去是留

北京的菜農、小商販一起合作作品。

June 2017 to August 2017

I visited one by one the places that were going to be forcibly demolished or where walls are torn down. I would like to finish my works together with the farmers or pedlars who are facing the choice of departure.

然而

就在我和這些菜農、商販溝通期間，

我住的艾荷華農莊的朋友家，

突然來了幾個自稱是政府的人敲門，

朋友被告知三天內必須搬走，

艾荷華是農業用地，不能當藝術工作室用。

While I was communicating with the farmers and pedlars,

In my friend』s house, Iowa Farm,

Suddenly came several governmental agent knocking at the door,

My friends were informed to move out within three days,

Iowa Farm is an agricultural land which cannot be used an art studio.

而在此之前

這裡已經作為藝術家工作室用了八年之久，

並沒有人說這裡不可以用，這裡被大家當成家，

一起去建設的溫馨漂亮。

在沒有任何來自房東的提前通告下，

Before that,

This places had been an art studio for 8 years,

There were no one saying this usage is wrong and this place had been home from us,

We built it to be warm and beautiful,

Without any notice in advance from the landlord,

艾荷華里的住戶被要求

在三天內完成政府要求的：找房子，搬家。

The residents in Iowa Farm were demanded by the government to move out in three days.

三天後

大家還沒接到房東正式通知，不知道要不要搬，

兩個陌生人在大家不知情的情況下掐斷了艾荷華的水電。

後來我和艾荷華的藝術家們

一同經歷了最熱的天被停水停電的生活。

Three days later,

we still did not receive the formal notice from the landlord and were not sure if we should move,

Two strangers secretly cut off water and electricity supply.

Then the Iowa』s artists and I experienced the life without water and electricity in the hottest summer days.

在大家想找房東商量對策時房東消失了，

而和水電重新一起到來的是新的蓋章的文件：

五天內必須撤離！

四天後停止供應水電。

大家憤怒，絕望，痛苦……

所有的反抗卻都昭示了藝術家們的無能無為。

我突然意識到，

藝術家和被驅逐的小商小販、農民工並沒有本質的不同。

我一直關注外面的強拆和驅逐，

迎來的確是波及自身的切膚之痛。

When we were seeking for the landlord for a solution, he disappeared,

Came back with the water and electricity was a new document with stamp,

It says: You must move out within 5 days. Water and electricity will be cut off in 4 days.

We were furious, desperate and miserable… All the defiance showed the inability of artists.

I suddenly realized that the artists have no essential differences with the expelled pedlars and migrant works.

I have always been focusing on the force demolishment and expulsion,

But I end up with the pain posed on myself.

而這一切也並不是沒有先兆，

北京在2017年實行大規模清理非京籍人員和商戶，

拆牆打洞也好，強拆違建也好，

都只是突然之間，

這種驅逐看似是有明文規定的政策，是文明的，

但卻也是不合法的，不公平的，同時又是不可抗拒的。

人們躊躇滿志到一個城市之前是並沒有哪條法律規定，

他們有朝一日將不以任何原因被驅逐。

誰會離開？誰又會留下？

留下和離開以什麼作為衡量標準？

難道僅像達爾文提出自然界的「優勝劣汰」一樣？

However, there were omen for that,

Beijing launched mass expulsion of non-native Beijing commercial tenants in 2017,

No matter it is wall-breaking or force demolishment,

It came all of a sudden.

Such expulsion seems to be civilized sense it is backed by written policy,

But is illegal, unfair and irresistible.

When people come to a city with aspiration, there is no law securing their right not to be expelled.

Who will leave and who will stay?

What is the benchmark for arrival and departure?

It is just like Darwinism?

這個理論在當下的北京又是什麼衡量標準？

財富？地位？權力？

這是一場沒有硝煙的戰爭，終將也會以不反抗告結。

這個城市，這個國家，

有那麼多需要去修復去建設的地方以讓人安居，

而這裡

只把力量留給摧毀家園。

我沒見過課本上的「外來侵略者」，

只看到「自己人」把我們侵略踐踏。

What is the benchmark for such a theory in today』s Beijing?

Fortune? Status? Power?
This is a smokeless war which will end with obedience.

This city and this country have so many palces to repair and construct to be a warm nestle.

While here, there power is only for destroy home.

I have never saw the 『foreign invaders』 on the text book,

I just saw our 『compatriot』 destroying our own land.

所以在艾荷華農莊，

我給被驅逐的人們一次模擬反抗的機會，

而敵人正是人民內部。

So in Iowa Farm,

I provide an opportunity for the expelled people to simulate defiance,

While the enemy are among our people.
