(例2) Upstairs they are having a party, and downstairs people are playing loud music. (注意)若有幾個不同類的副詞同時出現,其順序為 地方副詞+情狀副詞+頻率副詞+時間副詞 (例1) My sister went upstairs quietly a minute ago. 程度副詞 so, too, very, quite, enough Δ 用於所修飾的形容詞或副詞前 (例1) so comfortable、too tired、very carefully Δ enough用於所修飾的形容詞或副詞之後 (例1) tall enough、kind enough (例2) It's warm enough for you to play out of doors. 特別注意的副詞 very / much Δ very 修飾原級和最高級 Δ much 修飾比較級和最高級 (例1) He is a very good boy. (例2) He is a much better boy than you. (例3) He is much the best boy of all. = He is the very best boy of all. Δ much(副詞) 跟very much可修飾動詞,但very 不可以 (例1) I don't like the idea (very) much. Δ 現在分詞(Ving)及過去分詞(p.p.)可以當形容詞用 修飾現在分詞 =>very 修飾過去分詞 => much 跟very much (例1) English is an very interesting subject. (例2) I am much(=very much) interested in English. (* interested in 對什麼感興趣) maybe/may be maybe(或許)為副詞,may為助動詞,be為動詞,意指"可能是" (例1) Maybe he is right. (例2) He may be right. sometime/ some time Δ sometime(某個時候),some time(一些時間) (例1) I saw him sometime last year. (例2) I'll call on you sometime. (call on= visit) (例3) I'll do this if I can spare some time. (*spare 挪出) everyday/every day everyday(每天)當形容詞用,every day(每天)當副詞用 (例1) Wear your everyday clothes.(穿便服吧) (例2) She helps her mon with kitchen work every day.
