(carefully 修飾 drives) 修飾形容詞 (例1) He is a very careful driver. 修飾另一個副詞 (例1) He drives his car very carefully. 副詞的種類 情狀副詞 形成 Δ 形容詞加ly (例1) quick - quickly careful - carefully Δ 形容詞字尾為le->去e加y (例1) terrible - terribly comfortable - comfortably Δ 形容詞字尾為子音 +y->去y加ily (例1) happy - happily heavy - heavily Δ 形容詞字尾為ll->加y (例1) full - fully dull - dully Δ 形容詞字尾為ue->去e加ly (例1) true - truly due - duly Δ 形容詞、副詞同形 (例1) early, late, enough, fast, first, last Δ 不規則變化 (例1) good - well 位置 Δ 動詞+副詞=副詞+動詞 (例1) She danced beautifully. = She beautifully danced. Δ 動詞+受詞+副詞=副詞+動詞+受詞 (例1) All of us accepted the invitation gladly. =All of us gladly accepted the invitation. (*及物動詞=> 提及他物，受詞緊跟在後) Δ 動詞+介系詞+受詞+副詞 = 副詞+動詞+介系詞+受詞 = 動詞+副詞+介系詞+受詞 (例1) She walked into the classroom quietly. =She quietly walked into the classroom. =She walked quietly into the classroom. 第27課 講義初級文法II P70 Δ be動詞+副詞+Ving (例1) He was anxiously waiting for her arrival. (注意)字尾為ly的情狀副詞可用於一句的句首 (例1) Slowly and carefully he opened the box. (注意) 連綴動詞，如fell、taste...等，其後須接形容詞 (例1) The old man looked angry.(angry 形容詞) The old man looked at me angrily.(angrily 副詞) 頻率副詞 always, usually, often, sometimes, seldom, ever, never 位置 Δ be動詞/助動詞之後 Δ 一般動詞之前 (例1) Jim is always late to school. =Jim always goes to school late. Δ 簡答句或簡述句時，在be動詞或助動詞之前 (例1) Mr. Wang usually goes to the office by bus, but Mis. Wang never does. (例2) Did you ever talk to forigners in English? No, I never did. (注意)頻率副詞除always外，也可以用於句首 (例1) Sometimes we eat dinner in that restrant. (注意) 詢問頻率用How often(多久一次) (例1) How often do the buses run between the station and your school? A:Once an hour. 地方副詞 there, here, downstairs, upstairs, inside, outside, under the tree..等 Δ 小地方+大地方 (例1) Her parents lived on a small farm in a remote country. 第28課 講義初級文法II P73 Δ 地方副詞很少用於句首，如用於句首，通常表示對比或強調 (例1) The young girls are going upstairs. (例2) Upstairs they are having a party, and downstairs people are playing loud music. So I cannot study in my apartment. 時間副詞 Δ 句首/ 句尾 (例1) Last week you promised me to do it. =>You promised me to do it last week . Δ 小時間+大時間 (例1) The wedding took place on Wendesday evening last week. (注意)若有幾個不同類的副詞同時出現，其順序為 地方副詞+情狀副詞+頻率副詞+時間副詞 (例1) My sister went upstairs quietly a minute ago. 程度副詞 so, too, very, quite, enough Δ 用於所修飾的形容詞或副詞前 (例1) so comfortable、too tired、very carefully Δ enough用於所修飾的形容詞或副詞之後 (例1) tall enough、kind enough (例2) It's warm enough for you to play out of doors. 特別注意的副詞 very / much Δ very 修飾原級和最高級 Δ much 修飾比較級和最高級 (例1) He is a very good boy. (例2) He is a much better boy than you. (例3) He is much the best boy of all. = He is the very best boy of all. Δ much(副詞) 跟very much可修飾動詞，但very 不可以 (例1) I don't like the idea (very) much. Δ 現在分詞(Ving)及過去分詞(p.p.)可以當形容詞用 修飾現在分詞 =>very 修飾過去分詞 => much 跟very much (例1) English is an very interesting subject. (例2) I am much(=very much) interested in English. (* interested in 對什麼感興趣) maybe/may be maybe(或許)為副詞，may為助動詞，be為動詞，意指"可能是" (例1) Maybe he is right. (例2) He may be right. sometime/ some time Δ sometime(某個時候)，some time(一些時間) (例1) I saw him sometime last year. (例2) I'll call on you sometime. (call on= visit) (例3) I'll do this if I can spare some time. (*spare 挪出) everyday/every day everyday(每天)當形容詞用，every day(每天)當副詞用 (例1) Wear your everyday clothes.(穿便服吧) (例2) She helps her mon with kitchen work every day.
