貝雷帽 Beret15世紀時，在法國南部和西班牙北部的庇里牛斯山脈兩側，有一群牧羊人頭戴一款無沿的圓形軟帽，到了18世紀因其便於製作與收納的特性被挑選為軍用帽，黑色款的貝雷帽則成為西元1959年古巴革命領導人切·格瓦拉（Che Reboux）發明，其名來自「鐘」的法語「Cloche」，通常以較硬挺的毛呢材質製作而成。20世紀初鐘形帽的影響力達到高峰，1920年到1933年開始於美國盛行。包覆頭型的鐘型帽適合在帽子上做裝飾，在20年代甚至可從帽上的配飾得知女性的感情狀態，好比單邊箭頭的結表示未婚有男友，螺旋結表示已婚，而綻放的花朵表示單身。最佳演繹有《色，戒》中的湯唯，甚至《大亨小傳》的伊莉莎白·戴比基（Elizabeth Cap鴨舌帽又稱狩獵帽，然而最多人好奇的名稱緣由便是啟發自那扁如鴨舌的帽檐。在14世紀的英國、蘇格蘭及義大利皆有人佩戴鴨舌帽，但當時並未帶動潮流趨勢，直到西元1571年，英國為了刺激羊毛市場交易，議會通過一項法案，除了貴族以外，所有六歲以上男性在休假期間必須佩戴羊毛製造的帽子，這時以羊毛材質製作的鴨舌帽開始在勞動階層盛行，一路到19世紀時，鴨舌帽在英國和愛爾蘭已隨處可見，而做工精緻的鴨舌帽也開始受到當時上流社會的青睞。
