Summary

At the school where I teach, all of the students have iPads. This is great for when students need to look up the definition of a word or do research, but it can also be frustrating for teachers when students instead play games.

在我教書的學校，所有的學生都有iPad。當學生用它來查單詞或者搜索時，這是非常好的，但是當學生們玩遊戲時，就會讓老師很頭疼。

It seems that games on iPads or smartphones are popular with everyone: adults, kids, girls, and boys.

似乎手游已經遍及千家萬戶了，可謂男女通吃老少皆宜啊。

I』d like to know about your experiences with video games. Am I the only one out there who doesn』t like these kind of games!?

我也想知道你們關於玩遊戲的經歷，我難道是唯一一個不喜歡玩遊戲的人么？

At the school where I teach, all of the students have iPads. It seems that games on iPads or smartphones are popular with everyone: adults, kids, girls, and boys.

在我教書的學校，所有的學生都有iPad。當學生需要查找單詞或搜索時是非常棒的，但是當學生們玩起遊戲來時，老師們也很頭疼。iPad或智能手機上的遊戲十分受歡迎：大人，小孩，女孩和男孩都愛不釋手。

I think this is so interesting because, I』ve never really liked these kinds of games. Sometimes I think I am an anomaly, a strange person different than everyone else!

I guess for me they are just kind of boring and seem a little pointless.

我覺得這很有意思，因為我從來不喜歡這些遊戲。有時我覺得我很反常，和常人不同！對我來說，遊戲既無聊又沒意義。

It seems like there is no good reason to spend time playing a game. Now, that doesn』t mean I don』t spend time doing other pointless activities. For example, I watch a lot of TV and movies and I really enjoy this, but I don』t enjoy video games.

似乎沒有理由能說服我花時間玩遊戲。但這並不意味著我不會花時間做其他無意義的活動。例如，我很愛看電視和電影，我真的很喜歡這個，但我不喜歡玩電子遊戲。

Maybe it』s because, frankly, I』m really bad at video games. I have some pretty bad memories of playing Mario Cart with my friends and losing really badly.

也許是因為我真的很不擅長電子遊戲。我和我的朋友們玩超級瑪麗時就有一些非常糟糕的回憶，輸得很慘。

There was only one video game that I ever liked, and it was called Guitar Hero. This is a game where you have a fake guitar and you need to push the colored buttons like you are playing the guitar. I got pretty obsessed with this game during middle school and would play it for hours after school. I remember playing so long that my eyes would start to hurt. But, I did beat the second hardest level!

我只喜歡一個電子遊戲——吉他英雄。在這個遊戲里，你有一把模擬吉他，你需要按下彩色按鈕，就像彈真吉他一樣。在中學時，我非常痴迷於這個遊戲，下課後也會玩幾個小時。我記得有一次玩的時間太長了，眼睛開始疼了，但是我過了倒數第二難的那一關。
