【國際公共藝術獎入選案例】黃金/Gold

2012年7月，藝術家赫蘇斯·帕洛米諾在西班牙塞拉藝術中心安裝了一個直徑8厘米的金環，金環安裝在位於藝術中心山坡坡面上一個橫置人造水坑的內部空間中。金環位於「caña」（西班牙語，「甘蔗」之意）的主要導管之內，這個傳統方法在阿拉塞納的塞拉是用於從山坡上挖出平行隧道以收集乾淨的水源。這個金環就埋藏在這其中，而觀眾是看不到的。

從形式上看，《黃金》這個作品是一個特定地點的裝置，這個裝置包括了製造和安置一個金環到一個洞穴的井裡。所有從山上流下來的水通過這個貴金屬分流到池塘中，作為塞拉藝術中心及其地產的花園灌溉和水消耗之用。

這個行為除了充滿詩意之外，從概念上一方面重新定義了一個地方，這標誌著被稱為村民的群體存在著，但其確切存在已經被忽略了的一個空間；另一方面，這個項目反映了對大自然元素的一種變態反應，而這現在已經成為了一種標誌。這個地方頻繁地遭受旱災，真正的財富是水，而不是黃金。這是一個簡單而且非常重要的元素。

這個項目是為塞拉藝術中心的開幕而接受其館長和總監、藝術家魯本·巴羅索的個人委託而進行的。由於塞拉藝術中心已經著眼於環境保護項目，因而最終概念是很容易定義的，接下來就看大自然和想象力了。這個項目只花費了非常少的金錢來完成，而這部分錢是藝術中心通過人們捐贈和贊助獲得的。這些生活在桑塔·安娜村子里善良和慷慨的人們對這個項目起到了最根本的作用。

因為這個塞拉藝術中心所在地是屬於市政廳擁有的公共財產，所以《黃金》這個作品也已被視為是公眾的財產。公眾可以在未來幾年中免費使用這個地方和這些資源。

這個藝術行為是一種永久性的介入。正如赫蘇斯·帕洛米諾的每一個裝置藝術作品，也正如他一向說的「設計提供了一種對諸如人權、生態、文化對話和民主批評上的審美和道德上的意見，正如當面對各種現實的情況時需要緊急反應、解決辦法、最好是社會變革時所需要的創造性行動。」

In July 2012, artist Jesús Palomino installed a golden ring 8 cm in diameter in the inner space of an artificial horizontal water pit on the hillside of SIERRA Art Center. The golden ring is located at the main pipe of the 「caña」, a traditional method in the Sierra of Aracena to collecting clean water through an artificial horizontal tunnel on the hillside. The golden ring is buried inside invisibly.

Formally, GOLD is a site-specific installation that consists of the manufacturing and putting a gold ring into the well inside of a cave. All the water that flows from the mountain, and then is distributed to the ponds for garden irrigation and the use at the SIERRA Art Center through this precious metal.

In addition to the poetic action, the place which villagers live in conceptually had been neglected. Meanwhile the project has become a symbol which reflects an allergic reaction to the natural elements. This area suffers frequent draughts, so that the real treasure is water instead of gold. It is a simple but extremely important element.

The project, commissioned by Rubén Barroso himself personally, is for the opening of SIERRA Art Center, who is a curator, director and artist. Since SIERRA Art Center has been engaged in environmental protection projects, the final concept is easy to define and needs imagination to be accomplished with nature. The project costs only a very small amount money which is donated and supported through the Art Center. The kind and generosity people living in the village of Santa Ana la Real plays a fundamental role.

GOLD has been considered as a works of public property, since the whole area where SIERRA Art Center located is a public property and owned by the City Hall. People can use the place and its resources freely in the coming years.

This art works is a permanent intervention as Jesús Palomino's other art works and as he has always said, "Design provides a dialogue for human rights, ecology and culture, as well as democratic criticism on the aesthetic and moral views. When facing with various realities, we need emergency response, solutions and creation during the period of social transformation. "

正如赫蘇斯·帕洛米諾的每一個裝置藝術作品，也正如他一向說的「設計提供了一種對諸如人權、生態、文化對話和民主批評上的審美和道德上的意見，正如當面對各種現實的情況時需要緊急反應、解決辦法、最好是社會變革時所需要的創造性行動。」

《黃金》這件公共藝術裝置作品，以藝術永久性地介入生活與環境，體現環境保護的理念，不僅創意新穎，而且重視公眾的積极參与。從項目本身來說，觀眾會疑惑不解，如果對創作背景有所了解，這件裝置作品的教育意義就已顯現。通過視乎變態的藝術手法，用「黃金」珍貴難得作比，彰顯對大自然的關懷，呼籲人們珍惜那「取之不盡，用之不竭」的水資源。

由於生活在桑塔·安娜村子里善良慷慨的人們對這個項目起到了最根本的作用，因此《黃金》這件作品也已被視為是公眾的財產。公眾可以在未來幾年中免費使用這個地方和這些資源。(馮正龍)

The excellence of the project could be related to the 「wave of transformation」 unexpectedly provoked by the fact of the burial of a golden ring at a natural site in relation to water.

"When I first visited the place, the whole area was abandoned and presented a poor environmental situation after several years of derelict and poor maintenance. Once I pointed the abandoned place of the horizontal water pit, a real 「wave of transformation」 started. The City Hall sent a crew of 10 workers to clean up the rural paths around the area. The entrance of the water pit was as well cleaned and arranged to provide a better access to the public. Indeed, the location was recovered as a public land mark for the village of Santa Ana la Real. The place was transformed into a new place of meaning and encounter by the action of the buried golden ring. The very function of the pit was again underlined and resignified. The stories of abandoned treasures buried by the Arabs at the ancient times were resounding and echoing the traditional oral stories told at the Sierra de Aracena. The gold gave back life to the natural site by the hand of an artistic action of resignification and transformation."
