【辭彙暢談】「dig」很簡單，意思也不少

今天我們來學習一下「dig」

Digging (in) the garden is good exercise.

在花園裡挖土是一種很好的鍛煉。

2、鑿出，打（洞）

例句：

1）The tunnel was dug with the aid of heavy machinery.

在重型機械的幫助下，隧道挖通了。

2）The dog was digging a hole to hide its bonein.

狗正在刨坑以便把骨頭藏起來。

練習：

1）The ground was frozen hard and was impossible to dig.

2）They dug a shallow pit and threw the bodies into it.

3）We dug a hole and planted the tree.

3、尋找，搜尋，找到

例句：

1）He dug into his pocket and took out a few coins.

他把手伸進口袋裡摸索一番后掏出了幾枚硬幣。

2）As I dug deeper into his past , I realized that there was a lot about this man that I didn't know.

隨著我對他過去的深入了解，我意識到自己對這個人知道得還太少。

用肘部碰（某人）的肋部（常用來分享私密笑話或引起對方注意）

2、dig(deep) into your pocket(s) 掏腰包

Richer countries must dig deeper into their pockets if global problems, such as pollution, are to be solved.

在應對如污染等的全球問題時，富國必須掏更多的錢。
