facts - fax

facts - 名詞 -> 事實

The facts pointed to Mr Smith as the criminal. 事實證明史密斯先生是罪犯。

fax - 名詞 -> 傳真

I sent a fax to the office in Chicago. 我往芝加哥的辦公室發了封傳真。

fair - fare

fair - 形容詞-> 公平的

It's not fair. 這不公平。

fare - 名詞 -> 費用，票價

I paid fifteen dollars for the fare. 我支付了15美金的票價。

fairy - ferry

fairy - 名詞 -> 仙女

The tooth fairy is a fantasy figure. 牙仙是個虛擬人物。

ferry - 名詞 -> 渡船，渡口

find - fined

find - 單詞 -> 發現

forward - 形容詞 -> 向前的

gene - jean

gene - 名詞 -> 基因

The X gene is responsible for eye colour. X基因負責眼睛顏色。

high - 形容詞 -> 高的

Mount Rainier is extremely high. 雷尼爾山極高。

hoarse - horse

hoarse - 形容詞 -> 嘶啞的

Your voice is hoarse. Do you have a cold? 你聲音很嘶啞，感冒了嗎？

horse - 名詞 -> 馬

Tom had a horse named Joe. Tom 有隻叫Joe的馬。

hole - whole

hole - 名詞 -> 洞

There is a hole in the wall we need to repair. 牆上有個洞，我們要修一下。

whole - 形容詞 -> 全部的

He ate the whole pie! 他把整個派都吃掉了。

hour - our

hour - 名詞 -> 小時

It took one hour to finish the exercise. 做練習花了一小時。

our - 形容詞 -> 我們的

That's our house on the corner. 拐角處的那棟房子是我們的。

knight - night

leased - least

leased - 單詞，lease的過去式 -> 租用的

They leased the office for three months. 他們租了三個月的辦公室。

least - 形容詞 -> 最少的，最小的

She was the least successful of the candidates. 她是候選人中最不可能成功的一個。

loan - lone

loan - 單詞 -> 貸款，借款

Can you loan me some money ? 你能借我點錢嗎？

lone - 形容詞 -> 獨自的，寂寞的

She is the lone person who speaks French. 她是唯一一個說法語的。
