今天Jason老師要給大家介紹一個新興專業-TESOL專業，即Teaching English to speakers of other languages，也就是英語非母語教學。

通俗的說，你選了這個專業就得用英文給老外（母語不是英語的人）授課了！

TESOL是「Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages」 的縮寫，中文翻譯是「對外英語教學」 。作為證書課程來學習，TESOL證書課程內容已經被國際上100多個國家的8000多所學校認可。

TESOL證書持有者可以在全球範圍內從事英語作為第二外語教學(ESL，English as a Second Language)，其含金量和認可度很大，可以作為國際公認的國際英語教師資格證書和英語教學行業職業資格的權威國際證明。

申請有什麼要求?

1、這個專業申請來說相對比較容易。對相關專業背景一般沒有特殊的要求，雅思成績要求也相對比較低，一般6.5分(小分6分)就可以啦，而且學費相對便宜一些。

2、這個專業因為是新興起的，所以目前申請的小夥伴比較少，但是別小瞧這個專業，它的學歷是世界公認的。而且，你們畢業以後競爭壓力會相對其他熱門專業小一點。

-評估母語為非英語的學生學習語言的困難程度；

-單獨並以小組為單位在常規課堂外教授學生，並幫助學生布置教室環境；

-使用各種教學方法包括講座和視頻示範教授學生的英語語言技能；

-通過為英文學習困難的學生設計特別教學方案幫助其他教師提高他們學生的英語水平；

-設計和製作教材，並改進現有教材；

-製備教學大綱和教學目標；

-排課、批改作業並為考試評等級；

-分析、記錄進度並向其他班的老師、家長和學生報告進度；

就業前景怎麼樣呢?

畢業生的就業方向大致有4類：教師、出版、研究、政府職員。

它就業範圍比較廣，一般包括國外大學語言中心，TAFE，政府社區服務機構的英語教學，非盈利機構(如聯合國，紅十字會和其他各種基金會)語言學校等教學科研工作。回國后就業率比較高，比如幼兒及中國小、各種語言培訓中心，外企人力資源，社會團體等，當然，這些都不是重點，重點是能掙很多呢!
